Welcome to Urbaca!

Nestled in the Pearl District, Urbaca (meaning “urban pearl”) is a commission based teaching salon focused on the finer points of service, creativity, and individual growth.

From the front desk to our service providers, each Urbaca team member has advanced talent and training--but our creativity doesn’t end at closing time! On staff we have photographers, pro make up artists, designers, climbers, writers, drummers, a school of pool sharks, and a racecar driver.

Each day we work together, incorporating our talents and travels to craft a unique experience just for you.

Urbaca Guarantee

All services and products at Urbaca are guaranteed. Any product may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.

If you are not completely satisfied with your hair or skin care service, please let us know within seven days of the service and we will either correct or repeat the service at no charge.

24-Hour Appointment Cancellation

We at Urbaca do all we can to help you make your scheduled appointment, including reminder calls. Despite our best efforts, “no-shows” still occur.

As a courtesy to other clients and our staff, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you fail to arrive for your appointment, a “no-show” fee will be charged at full menu price. Your consideration and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Children & Pets

For safety reasons and out of respect for other guests, the parent of any disruptive or especially loud child will be asked to remove the child from the salon. Children may not be left alone in the lobby waiting area at any time.

Excluding service animals, Oregon health codes prohibit all pets in the salon.

Parking

Complimentary lot parking for Urbaca guests is available at the northwest corner of NW 9th Avenue and NW Couch, across from the Pearl Bakery.

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1998, Urbaca is a commission based teaching salon built on teamwork, education, the finer points of service, and creative evolution.

We offer team members consistent skill sharpening classes and opportunities for national/international travel.
